SheGlobes – Terms of Service

Welcome to SheGlobes (“we,” “our,” “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SheGlobes website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using SheGlobes, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.

  1. Purpose of SheGlobes

SheGlobes is a women-only community platform that connects women travelers (“Travelers”) with local women (“Guides”) for safe, authentic, and meaningful experiences.

We provide the platform for connections and bookings. We do not own, operate, or control the services offered by Guides.

  1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use SheGlobes.

SheGlobes is exclusively for women. By creating an account, you confirm that you identify as female.

You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.

  1. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.

You agree to notify SheGlobes immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or compromise community safety.

  1. Bookings & Payments

Travelers pay through SheGlobes. Guides receive payment minus a 10% SheGlobes service fee.

Cancellations:

Traveler cancels within 48 hours → No refund.

Traveler cancels more than 48 hours before booking → 50% refund.

Guide cancels → Traveler receives a full refund, and the Guide’s completion rate is affected.

Guides are not paid until the activity is completed.

Tips are optional and at the Traveler’s discretion.

  1. User Responsibilities

By using SheGlobes, you agree to:

Treat all members with respect and kindness.

Use the platform only for genuine social meetups, not for solicitation, advertising, or illegal activity.

Ensure all bookings and payments happen through the SheGlobes platform.

Acknowledge that you meet with Guides/Travelers at your own discretion and risk.

  1. Guide Responsibilities

Provide accurate descriptions of packages and experiences.

Arrive on time and deliver the agreed service.

Keep communication professional and respectful.

Ensure compliance with any local laws, permits, tax obligations, and insurance requirements.

Understand that repeated cancellations or negative feedback may result in account suspension.

  1. Safety

SheGlobes is committed to women’s safety. Profiles, reviews, and optional verification help create trust, but we cannot guarantee the conduct of any user.

Users are encouraged to meet in public places and exercise judgment when engaging with others.

  1. Intellectual Property

All branding, logos, and platform content belong to SheGlobes.

You may not copy, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

User-generated content (such as photos, descriptions, or reviews) remains your property, but by uploading it, you grant SheGlobes a license to display it within the platform.

  1. Taxes & ABN Requirements

Guides on SheGlobes are independent providers, not employees of SheGlobes.

Providers are responsible for their own tax obligations and must answer Stripe’s onboarding questions truthfully.

ABN Requirement (Australia only):

If you are based in Australia and providing experiences for payment, you may be required by law to have an Australian Business Number (ABN). If you already have an ABN, you must provide it during onboarding.

If you do not have an ABN, you may still join SheGlobes as a hobbyist. By selecting this option, you declare that your activities are of a private or recreational nature and not carried out as a business.

Tax Obligations:

All Guides are responsible for their own tax obligations, including income tax, GST registration (if required), and any other applicable reporting. SheGlobes does not withhold or pay tax on your behalf.

ATO Withholding Rule:

If you are required to have an ABN but do not provide one, the Australian Tax Office (ATO) may require payments to be subject to withholding tax. By joining SheGlobes without an ABN, you accept full responsibility for any tax consequences.

Platform Responsibility:

SheGlobes acts only as a marketplace and payment facilitator via Stripe Connect. We do not act as an employer or contractor of Guides.

  1. Insurance

Platform Insurance SheGlobes maintains its own organisational insurance. This cover is limited to SheGlobes as a platform operator and does not extend to Guides or Travelers for risks arising from experiences arranged through the platform.

Guide Insurance Responsibility Each Guide is solely responsible for assessing and obtaining their own insurance coverage, including but not limited to public liability insurance, where appropriate for the activities they offer.

Traveler Insurance Responsibility All Travelers are strongly encouraged to hold their own personal travel insurance that covers medical, accident, and cancellation risks. SheGlobes does not provide travel insurance or accept liability for losses, injuries, or expenses incurred while participating in an experience.

No Guarantee of Coverage SheGlobes does not provide or arrange insurance for Guides or Travelers. By using SheGlobes, you acknowledge that participation in any activity is at your own risk, and you are responsible for ensuring you have adequate protection.

  1. Limitation of Liability

SheGlobes is a platform; we are not responsible for the conduct of Guides, Travelers, or third parties.

We are not liable for personal injury, loss, or disputes that may occur during meetups.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SheGlobes disclaims all liability related to your use of the Services.

  1. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SheGlobes, its founders, and its partners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

  1. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time without notice if:

You violate these Terms.

You engage in harmful, unsafe, or unlawful behavior.

You misuse the platform for purposes other than its intended use.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of [Insert Country/State], without regard to conflict of law principles.

  1. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted with the revised “Effective Date.” Continued use of SheGlobes indicates acceptance of the changes.
